The U.S. is analyzing Cuba's possible response to military action, according to CBS News

The U.S. intelligence community is examining possible scenarios for Cuba's response in the event of military action by the United States.

CBS News reports this, citing sources among U.S. officials.

According to the network’s sources, in early May, analysts at the Pentagon and the Defense Intelligence Agency began assessing what Cuba’s response to a potential U.S. strike might be.

Experts are currently working on several military action scenarios that could be presented to U.S. President Donald Trump.

The report notes that such analytical forecasts are used to assess not only the immediate consequences of possible military operations but also subsequent reactions and the unfolding of events following them.

U.S. military strategists take these assessments into account when preparing options for the U.S. president.

This involves analyzing potential political, military, and security risks that could arise if the situation around Cuba escalates.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel stated on May 18 that any military attack by the United States could have serious and unpredictable consequences. He emphasized that the country is already under multidimensional pressure but reserves the right to defend itself. According to the head of state, such a turn of events could lead to escalation and bloodshed in the region.
