Ukrainians will stand trial in London for setting fire to property linked to the British prime minister
On Wednesday in London, two Ukrainian nationals and one Romanian national appeared in court on suspicion of conspiring to set fire to property linked to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

According to the prosecution, the incidents occurred in May 2025 in north London and involved several arson attacks.
Roman Lavrinovich, a 22-year-old Ukrainian citizen, faces three charges: conspiracy to commit arson and the arson of two properties with intent to endanger life.
The other two suspects—35-year-old Ukrainian citizen Petro Pochynok and 27-year-old Romanian citizen Stanislav Karpyuk—are charged with conspiracy to commit arson.
According to the prosecution, all three acted with financial support from an unknown individual using the pseudonym “El Money,” who allegedly communicated with them in Russian.
The defendants deny the charges. The trial is expected to last until the end of May.
