Munich investigates arson at construction site near defense company
The Bavarian State Criminal Police Office is investigating an arson attack at a construction site in Munich. Investigators believe the incident may have been a politically motivated attack against a defense company, The Local Germany reports.
Incendiary devices at the site
Several incendiary devices were thrown onto the construction site overnight. At least one of them caused a fire, which was extinguished by police officers. According to a police spokesperson, the incident did not cause significant damage.
Another device was neutralized by specialists from a special unit. According to available information, the devices were thrown from a car at around midnight. A witness saw this and alerted the police.

Detentions and investigators' version
Emergency services later detained two people aged 28 and 38 at a gas station. A spokesperson for the Munich Police Department said investigators are determining whether they are connected to the incident.
The State Criminal Police Office took over the investigation due to suspicions that the attack may have targeted a defense company. Its spokesperson did not specify which company may have been the target. According to Bayerischer Rundfunk, the construction site was located near the Rohde & Schwarz technology group in the Berg am Laim district.
