Moscow has denied Trump's statement about an energy truce with Ukraine
No decision on an energy truce was reached during the latest talks in Moscow between the U.S. delegation and Vladimir Putin.
A source described U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement about an agreement to halt attacks on energy facilities as “off the cuff.” Official Moscow has not yet responded to Trump’s remarks.
On Monday, Trump stated that Ukraine and Russia had allegedly agreed not to attack each other’s energy facilities. At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is ready to halt such strikes if its partners guarantee that Russia will refrain from attacking Ukraine’s energy sector, critical infrastructure, and food transport routes.
