Navrotsky's office commented on reports of Patriot systems being deployed to the Middle East
The Office of the President of Poland stated that it has no knowledge of any procedures being initiated regarding the possible deployment of the Patriot system to the Middle East at the request of the United States.
This was reported by Polsat News.
Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the President’s Office, emphasized that such decisions are initiated by the government, which must submit a formal request to the president.
According to him, there is currently no information regarding the initiation of such a procedure.
Earlier reports indicated that during informal contacts, the U.S. had suggested that Poland consider the possibility of redeploying one of its Patriot batteries to the Middle East.
Bogucki also noted that President Karol Nawrocki had just returned from a visit to the U.S. and had not yet discussed this issue.
He emphasized that Poland remains a loyal ally and fulfills its obligations as a country on the eastern flank of NATO and the EU, despite the significant burden.
Poland does not plan to redeploy its Patriot air defense systems, despite U.S. requests regarding their possible transfer to the Middle East.
As a reminder, Iran called Ukraine an accomplice to US and Israeli aggression at the UN.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Iranian regime had made two attempts to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump.
