PDP Vice Chairman Dan Orbih Dies in Nigeria
Dan Orbih, the National Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the South-South region, has died in Nigeria. According to Premium Times Nigeria, the politician died on Monday.
Family statement
Orbih’s family confirmed the politician’s death in a statement released by Francis Orbih in Benin on Tuesday. The statement described the deceased as a loving brother, husband, father and uncle, and called his death a painful loss.
Dan Orbih is survived by his wife Florence, daughters Winifred and Mildred, as well as brothers, sisters and other members of his extended family. The family asked relatives, friends and well-wishers to pray for it during the mourning period.

The family promised to provide details on the burial and other arrangements later. According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Orbih previously headed the PDP in Edo State and later assumed the position of the party’s National Vice Chairman for the South-South region.
Former Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki called Orbih’s death a significant loss for the state and Nigeria. He expressed condolences to the politician’s wife and children, his family, political associates and colleagues.
