A woman died at the Hurricane Festival in Germany
A 41-year-old woman died during one of Germany’s largest music festivals—the Hurricane Festival. The tragedy occurred on Saturday at the festival grounds in Schessel, in the federal state of Lower Saxony.
According to law enforcement officials, the woman suddenly fell ill.
Medical personnel and first responders arrived promptly at the scene and performed CPR, but were unable to save her life.
Preliminary reports suggest that the woman may have had underlying medical conditions that could have contributed to her condition.
The police are currently investigating to determine the exact cause of death. Law enforcement officials note that, at this time, there are no signs of a violent death, third-party involvement, or a connection between the tragedy and the festival’s organization.
People who were with the deceased experienced severe stress and received psychological and medical assistance from emergency services.
The Hurricane Festival is considered one of the largest music events in Germany. Every year, the festival attracts up to 70,000 visitors, and its lineup features performances by artists in the genres of rock, pop, alternative, indie, hip-hop, and electronic music.
In 2026, the festival celebrated its 30th anniversary. The event ran from Friday to Sunday and was traditionally held outdoors, drawing tens of thousands of music fans from various countries.
