Germany surveys opinions on the naturalisation test — The Local Germany
In Germany, The Local Germany has invited people who have taken the Einbürgerungstest naturalisation test to share their own experiences. The editorial team is conducting a survey on whether this test is too easy or whether it comes down to memorising answers and does not help foreign nationals integrate into society.
Different assessments of the test
According to the publication, the Einbürgerungstest is criticised by representatives of various political forces in Germany. The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party considers the test too easy and wants to make the path to obtaining German citizenship more difficult. The party also proposes changing the format of the test itself, including requiring candidates to write essays.

Criticism from left-wing parties
Other left-wing parties, as The Local Germany notes, believe that the test mainly requires memorising answers. In their view, this format does little to promote integration and involve foreign citizens in German society.
Survey of participants
The publication invited people who have already taken the Einbürgerungstest to answer questionnaire questions and describe their experience. The Local Germany said it plans to prepare a separate article based on readers' responses.
