Case registered against 12 police officers in Pakistan over illegal detention
In Faisalabad, Pakistan, following a court order, Rodala police registered a case against a former police station chief and 11 other police officers. They are suspected of illegally detaining a man and confiscating livestock, Dawn reports.
Case registered five months later
The incident occurred on April 21, and the case was registered five months afterward. In her application to police, complainant Zahida Perveen alleges that the then station chief Muhammad Asif, Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Hussain, and 10 other police officers raided her cattle enclosure.

According to Perveen, law enforcement officers took her brother, Zahur Ahmad, and loaded 21 head of her livestock onto a truck. According to her application, the seized animals included nine buffaloes and six cows.
No arrests were made in the case
Perveen also stated that at the time of the raid, there was no case against her or her brother. As of the time of Dawn's publication, no one had been arrested in the case.
