Discussions on the creation of a European ballistic defense system, with Ukraine's participation, will take place in Paris
During the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, to be held on July 13 in Paris, the allies will separately discuss the creation of a European ballistic missile defense system with Ukraine’s participation.
According to sources, meeting participants will consider three key areas for strengthening missile defense. The first involves identifying and transferring existing air defense systems and interceptor missiles to Ukraine, including the Patriot, SAMP/T, and other systems.
The second area concerns the development of cooperation within the European defense industry around existing air defense systems.
They plan to pay special attention to the creation of a new European anti-ballistic system that will draw on Ukraine’s experience in countering ballistic threats and combine the technological capabilities of European countries.
The meeting will also address continued support for Ukraine, security guarantees, countering Russia’s “shadow fleet,” the development of the defense industry, and deepening cooperation among partner nations.
