Poland's defense minister spoke out against halting aid to Ukraine
Poland’s defense minister stated that Russia’s largest missile attack on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war confirms the need to continue supporting Kyiv. He also said that this underscores the need to accelerate the modernization of the Polish army.
This was stated on social media platform X by Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
The Polish minister emphasized that Russia carried out its most powerful combined strike on Ukraine with ballistic and cruise missiles since the start of the war and is also preparing for a large-scale mobilization.
“This shows just how out of touch with reality are the voices calling for a reduction in support for Ukraine or a slowdown in the modernization of the Polish army,” the head of the Polish Ministry of National Defense emphasized.
Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that the current Polish government will continue to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities.
“That is why we are doing everything to ensure that Russian missiles never reach Poland and that nothing threatens our security. We will not back down from this,” the head of the Polish Defense Ministry stressed.
As a reminder, Poland is preparing a new war readiness regime.
For the third day in a row, the Polish military has been forced to scramble fighter jets due to the activity of Russian military aircraft near the country’s airspace. This was reported by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
