In the U.S., a man was sentenced to 77 years in prison for the online sexual exploitation of children

In the U.S., Kyle Spitz, a 27-year-old resident of Tennessee, was sentenced to 77 years in federal prison in a case involving the online sexual exploitation of minors. According to The Guardian World, Spitz, from Friendsville, was a member of the 764 online network, which the FBI describes as a form of “modern-day terrorism.”

The U.S. Department of Justice reported that the sentence was imposed for producing child sexual abuse material, facilitating the distribution of animal cruelty videos, and possessing and accessing child sexual exploitation material with the intent to view it. Spitze pleaded guilty to two counts of producing such material, one count of facilitating the distribution of animal cruelty videos, and one count of possessing and accessing child sexual exploitation material with the intent to view it.

Spitze was arrested in 2024 after investigators searched his cell phone and discovered photos and videos of two underage victims. One of the girls later told the FBI that Spitz had threatened her, demanding that she create images for him.

U.S. Assistant Attorney General John Eisenberg stated that Spitz, known online under the aliases Crimhn, Criminal, and Criminaloli, was one of the first members of the Harm Nation and 764 networks. According to Eisenberg, these groups sought to cause societal collapse through terrorism, in particular by targeting children and other vulnerable individuals and coercing them into committing sexual crimes, self-harm, and acts of mass violence.

Prosecutors also stated that Spitzke boasted online about having allegedly lured more than 2,600 victims in the U.S. and abroad into sexual exploitation. According to them, two of these individuals eventually took their own lives.
