The widow of Dagestan’s former deputy prime minister was killed in the Moscow region
Anna Kameneva, the widow of former Dagestan Deputy Prime Minister Gadzhi Makhachev, has died in the Moscow Region. She was found dead, and law enforcement officials are currently investigating the circumstances of her death.
A 17-year-old boy has been detained on suspicion of murder. Investigators are determining the motives for the crime and all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It is reported that the body, which had a cut wound on the neck, was found in a house in the village of Zhukovtsy. In addition, a non-lethal pistol and shell casings, traces of blood, and a towel with brown stains were found inside the premises. Kameneva’s 17-year-old son, an acquaintance of the victim, has been detained on suspicion of committing the crime.
The woman worked as an associate professor at Moscow State University in the Department of Economic and Financial Investigations. She was 43 years old.
Kameneva’s husband was a State Duma deputy and served as Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan. In 1999, he led the People’s Militia in the Botlikh District. In 2013, he died in a car accident on Kutuzovsky Prospekt.
