A suspect in a knife attack on a couple at a motel has been arrested in South Korea
South Korean police have arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of attempting to murder a couple at a motel in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. According to the Korea Herald, the suspect is a Thai national.
According to the Hwaseong-Sobu Police Station, the attack occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday at a motel in Mado-myeon, Hwaseong. Investigators suspect that the man stabbed the two victims.
The victims, who are also Thai nationals in their 30s, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Hospital staff reported the incident to the police at approximately 2:40 a.m. Law enforcement officers detained the suspect around 5:45 a.m. in Namyan, Hwaseong.
Police believe jealousy may have been the motive for the attack. However, the exact motive and the nature of the relationship between the suspect and the victims are still under investigation.
