In Poland, a 30-year-old Ukrainian citizen caused a traffic accident in a parking lot near a lake in the village of Żechice, damaging 10 cars.
The incident occurred on August 15. According to police, the driver of the Volvo was intoxicated. Witnesses tried to stop him, fearing he might hit them, and eventually blocked the car between other vehicles.
As a result of the incident, 8 passenger cars and 2 camping vans were damaged.
The driver’s blood alcohol level was found to be 1.8 per mille. In addition, it turned out that the man had already been banned from driving due to previous violations.
For driving while intoxicated and in violation of a court-imposed driving ban, he faces up to 8 years in prison.
