A Ukrainian man was beaten in Poland for refusing to sing Polish songs

In the Polish city of Radom, four men attacked a 20-year-old Ukrainian citizen after he was unable to sing Polish songs.

TVN24 reported this, citing the prosecutor’s office.

The incident occurred on the evening of May 8. According to the investigation, a group of men approached the Ukrainian and invited him to sing songs with them. When he was unable to do so, the attackers began insulting him based on his nationality and subsequently assaulted him.

The prosecutor’s office stated that the motive for the attack may have been ethnic hatred.

Law enforcement detained one of the suspects—a 38-year-old man. He has been charged with assault and attempted robbery.

The suspect has pleaded guilty. He is currently in police custody, and the other participants in the attack are being sought.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that the Polish government would try to influence the Pentagon’s decision regarding the possible withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country.
