In Warsaw, a man armed with brass knuckles and a machete attacked police officers: there are injuries
In Warsaw, a 29-year-old man armed with two brass knuckles and a machete attacked an employee of the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime and later injured two more law enforcement officers during his arrest.
According to RMF24, the attack took place near the bureau’s building as the officer was on his way to work. The assailant struck him in the head with brass knuckles and fled.
The suspect was later found near the Kabaty metro station. During his arrest, he resisted and attacked the police officers again. One of the officers suffered a serious leg injury and was hospitalized; two others sustained minor injuries.
According to preliminary information, the attacker specifically targeted an officer from the cybercrime unit. After his arrest, he claimed that he was allegedly being followed and wiretapped by the security services. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances and motives behind the attack.
