A Ukrainian woman was forcibly extradited from Poland following a series of thefts in Poznań

In Poznań, police secured the deportation of a 36-year-old Ukrainian citizen following repeated incidents of theft in retail establishments.

This was reported by the publication inPoland

The incident occurred on May 6, when security at a shopping and entertainment center detained a woman suspected of stealing clothing and jewelry. Police determined that the total value of the stolen items exceeded 1,000 zlotys.

Initially, the woman expected an administrative penalty in the form of a fine; however, in Poland, theft exceeding 800 zlotys is classified as a criminal offense.

During the investigation, it turned out that this was not her first offense: over the previous months, she had already been involved in two theft cases, and in one of those incidents, the amount stolen also exceeded the established threshold.

After analyzing all the circumstances, Polish law enforcement officials decided to deport the woman from Poland.

As a reminder, Ukrainian citizens residing in Poland with temporary protection status (PESEL UKR) are now eligible to apply for a three-year residence permit.

Nine U.S. and Canadian citizens who illegally entered the grounds of the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau were detained in Poland.

Poland has decided to cancel a concert by American rapper Kanye West that was scheduled to take place in the city of Chorzów. The decision was prompted by public outcry and controversy surrounding his previous statements related to Nazism and anti-Semitic remarks.
