A Ukrainian man was arrested in Poland for an armed robbery and the theft of a safe

In Poland, law enforcement officers detained a 42-year-old Ukrainian citizen suspected of an armed robbery at a business in the Greater Poland Voivodeship near Poznań.

According to police, the man, threatening the security guard with a pistol and a knife, tied him up and stole a safe, a cell phone, keys, and a company car. The safe and the car were later found near the crime scene. The assailant was unable to open the safe, which contained 3,200 zlotys.

The suspect has been charged with robbery, theft of property, and illegal possession of drugs. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
