Russia has criticized Armenia's pro-European course

Russia has stated that the Armenian leadership’s foreign policy course is unacceptable to Moscow. The Russian side has also reacted sharply to Yerevan’s European integration goals.

This was reported by Russian media.

According to a Russian diplomat, the issue of relations with Armenia was discussed at a meeting of a special working group of the Russian Security Council.

The Russian Ministry expressed dissatisfaction with the policy currently being pursued by the Armenian leadership.

"Specifically, the stance that the Armenian leadership will maintain its membership in the Eurasian Economic Union until it transitions to membership in the European Union. Such approaches do not suit us. Such approaches are absolutely unacceptable to us," Galuzin stated.

He noted that Yerevan signed the Eurasian Economic Union treaty, under which it commits to refraining from actions that would jeopardize or hinder Eurasian economic integration.
