A major internet outage occurred in Russia

On August 6, a widespread internet outage was reported across Russia. Users are reporting problems accessing Rostelecom and Yandex services, banking platforms, and other online services. The cause of the outage has not yet been reported.

 

According to Downdetector, issues have been observed since approximately 1:00 p.m. Moscow local time with the following services:

  • Rostelecom;
  • Yandex;
  • T-Bank;
  • Gazprombank;
  • Russian Railways;
  • Ozon;
  • Wildberries;
  • Avito;
  • Yandex Disk;
  • MAX;
  • amoCRM;
  • Yandex Telemist;
  • Roblox;
  • Pikabu.

In addition, the service is reporting internet access issues in St. Petersburg, as well as in the Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Tyumen, and Tambov regions, and in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
