Calls have been made in Russia to designate the Yabloko party as extremist
The Russian movement “Veterans of Russia” has appealed to Rosfinmonitoring, the Ministry of Justice, and the Prosecutor General’s Office, demanding that the “Yabloko” party be recognized as an extremist organization.
They cited the party’s position on Crimea as the basis for their request.
Specifically, they cited its 2015 memorandum, in which “Yabloko” called on Russia to recognize Ukraine’s sovereignty within its 2013 borders and described the seizure of Crimea as an illegal annexation.

The Russian Supreme Court rejected Yabloko’s appeal and upheld the decision to remove its federal list from the State Duma elections.
The Supreme Court of Russia, an aggressor state, upheld the lawsuit against the anti-war opposition party Yabloko. Its candidates will not be allowed to run in the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 18–20, according to Deutsche Welle.
