The mayor of Ufa and several officials have been detained in Russia
On the morning of April 28, law enforcement officials conducted searches and made arrests in connection with a corruption case in Ufa. Among those detained are Mayor Ratmir Mavliev, his deputy, a city council member, and other officials.

According to the investigation, the case involves the illegal transfer of a land plot measuring over 1,300 square meters, located on the grounds of a health resort. Investigators believe that in 2025, the mayor may have orchestrated a scheme to appropriate the land.

On the night of April 2, a massive fire broke out at an oil refinery in the Russian city of Ufa following a drone attack.
According to analysis of photos and videos from local residents, the Bashneft-Novoyl plant, which is part of Rosneft, was hit. The facility specializes in the production of high-octane gasoline, motor and industrial lubricants, aviation and jet fuel, diesel, bitumen, and other petroleum products.
