Several people were injured by a sword at a school in central Sweden
On Friday, at a school in the town of Fagerasta in central Sweden, a person armed with a sword injured several people. Police reported that they arrived at the scene and detained one person.
Authorities did not specify the number of injured. Law enforcement officials stated that they are continuing to work at the scene using various resources and urged the public to observe road closures and follow police instructions.

The municipality reported that police are searching the school premises. Other schools in the district have implemented restricted access following the attack.
According to the Swedish public broadcaster SVT, ambulances, police cars, and a police helicopter were present near the school. Swedish Minister of Justice Gunnar Strømmer told Reuters that the government is in close contact with the police following the serious incident in Fagerås.
