An 11-year-old boy was shot in the face and neck at a house in the northwestern Sydney suburb of Norwest, Australia. The child was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The boy was given medical assistance
Emergency services arrived at the house after a report of a shooting at about 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Paramedics treated the boy at the scene before he was taken to hospital.
According to The Guardian, five other people were in the house at the time of the incident. They were not injured.

Initial police information indicates that the shots were fired from inside the house. Law enforcement officers are not looking for a suspect who may have been outside the house.
