In the US, Trump says Flydubai co-pilot may have been a terrorist — Anadolu Agency
In the United States, President Donald Trump said that the co-pilot of a Flydubai aircraft operating a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv may have been a terrorist or acting irrationally. This was reported by Anadolu Agency.
Trump’s version
According to Trump, he discussed the incident in detail with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The US president relayed the version he received from him, according to which the co-pilot stabbed the aircraft’s captain.
Trump also spoke about an Israeli plumber among the passengers who allegedly heard screams from the cockpit and understood that the situation was dangerous. According to this version, the man, who had no experience flying an aircraft, took the controls and leveled the plane before it could crash.

Flydubai investigation
The US president stressed that he could not independently confirm this story and was relaying information received from Netanyahu. He added that the passenger, according to the Israeli prime minister, often watched the television program Air Disasters and may have learned from it how to act in an emergency.
Earlier, a confrontation between the pilots on board the aircraft was reported, after which a hijacking code was transmitted. The aircraft later landed in Saudi Arabia. Flydubai said that the circumstances and motives of the conflict between the pilots remain unknown and are the subject of an official investigation.
