Taiwan’s first McDonald’s with Classic Spectrum design opens in Taipei — Taipei Times

On September 21, Taiwan’s first McDonald’s restaurant designed under the global Classic Spectrum concept opened in Taipei. The establishment is located at 208 Ruiguang Road in Neihu Technology Park, on the ground floor of an office building with a glass facade, Taipei Times reports.

Colors of signature products

The Classic Spectrum concept was created in collaboration with FutureBrand. It combines McDonald’s signature colors with shades associated with the chain’s core products: the yellow of French fries, the brown tones of the Big Mac, the red of ketchup and the green of lettuce leaves.

The interior features wood-textured furniture, soft lighting, red and yellow benches, tables with rounded corners and colored edges, as well as oval and rectangular pendant lights. The central element of the open space is a red sofa bench, next to which two yellow benches with vertical stitching on their backrests were placed.

Most walls are decorated in warm mid-tones. One wall stands out with several shades of green and simple geometric lights, creating a layered contrast in the space.

Areas for ordering and relaxation

The restaurant has communal tables of different heights, window seating, booths and bench areas. Semi-transparent partitions between the customer seating area and the ordering area are decorated with horizontal lines in beige and brown shades, as well as green and yellow elements.

Employees of the neighboring technology park can place a pre-order through the McDonald’s mobile app, use digital self-service kiosks or order at the counter. Brenda Kou, vice president of the restaurant development group at McDonald’s Taiwan, said that the company has simplified ways to order, pay for and receive food, while also focusing on accessible and comfortable restaurant design.
