In Türkiye, an Akinci combat drone hit a naval target during tests with a UAV-300 supersonic ballistic missile at a distance of more than 250 kilometers. The test was conducted off the coast of the Black Sea province of Sinop.
Tests over the Black Sea
As Anadolu Agency reports, the drone took off from the training and test center in Corlu, in Tekirdag province in Türkiye's Marmara region, and headed to the test area over the Black Sea.
During the UAV-300 launch, the munition directly hit the naval target. After the test concluded on Friday, the Akinci returned to Corlu via its planned route.

Drone armament
The UAV-300 missile was developed by the Turkish company Roketsan. Its integration strengthened the Akinci's capability to conduct long-range strikes following the previous integration of the UAV-122 and UAV-230 supersonic missiles.
The Akinci drone was developed and is manufactured by the Turkish defense company Baykar. Its integrated weapons also include MAM-L, MAM-T, TOLUN, TEBER-81, the Cakir cruise missile, and the Eren high-speed multipurpose loitering munition.
According to the agency, Baykar's exports in 2025 amounted to $2.2 billion. The company has concluded export agreements with 39 countries, including 36 agreements for the Bayraktar TB2 and 16 for the Akinci.
