US Capitol Police detained a 35-year-old pickup truck driver in Washington whose truck bed contained an object resembling a wooden guillotine. According to police, the man was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, Euronews reports.
Detention near Capitol Hill
Police identified the detainee as Filan-Tam-Duy Le, a 35-year-old resident of Julian, California. His pickup truck was spotted on Tuesday shortly after 3:00 p.m. on East Capitol Street in the Capitol Hill area.
According to law enforcement officials, the vehicle was parked in violation of regulations. Officers detained the driver and seized the object from the truck bed.

Police are determining the motives
US Capitol Police said that the suspect arrived in Washington from California. Investigators are checking his information to determine why he came to the US capital.
Photographs released by police on their website and social media show an object resembling a full-size wooden guillotine in the bed of a parked pickup truck. It is currently unknown whether the seized device was fit for use.
