Uber leaves Nigeria and Uganda

Uber is leaving Nigeria and Uganda, France 24 reported in its Eye on Africa edition of September 4, 2026. According to the programme description, this will leave thousands of drivers looking for new sources of income.

Uber’s exit from two countries

The France 24 page headline reports Uber’s withdrawal from Nigeria, while the edition description also mentions Uganda. The released edition is 13 minutes and 59 seconds long.
