Grigory Omelchenko has been added to the list of individuals banned from entering Hungary and the Schengen Area. According to the head of the Prime Minister’s Office, the politician allegedly threatened Viktor Orbán and his family. In addition to Omelchenko, the restrictions also apply to Yevgeny Karas and Boris Tizengausen.
Orbán’s Chief of Staff, Gergely Gulyás, stated that Omelchenko “threatened” Viktor Orbán and his family. The Hungarian authorities consider Karas a “leader of a neo-Nazi group,” while Tizengauzen allegedly discussed sending Ukrainian troops to Hungary.
