Ukrainians were called upon to join a protest near the Russian House in Berlin
The Ukrainian civic organization “Viche” has called on Ukrainians in Berlin to join a protest performance near the “Russian House” on September 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event is in response to the German authorities’ decision to shut down the institution and the rally in its support announced by the Berlin branch of the pro-Russian party “Sari Wagenknecht Union” (BSW).
The organizers are calling on participants to bring cardboard boxes with them to turn this act of civil society resistance into a symbolic “moving aid” for the Russian institution.

Germany will terminate the agreement under which the Russian House on Friedrichstrasse operates in Berlin. This was announced by Foreign Minister Johann Wadepul. The decision was one of the measures taken in response to the attempted drone attack on Leipzig/Halle Airport on August 4, which the German side links to Russia.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova threatened Germany with retaliation following Berlin’s decision to close the Russian Consulate General in Bonn and the “Russian House” in Berlin. She stated that Moscow had allegedly not received convincing evidence of Russia’s involvement in the hybrid attack, which prompted Germany to take these steps.
