Detentions in Deer Park
Police detained a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old man from Donnybrook, as well as a 19-year-old woman from Lalor, in Deer Park at about 17:50 on Wednesday. They are being questioned by detectives from the homicide squad. Victoria Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Shooting in the park
Daniel Hussein was shot at about 19:30 on Sunday at HR Uren Reserve in Thomastown. According to ABC News Australia, it happened in front of his friends. Paramedics tried to resuscitate the man in front of his loved ones and other witnesses, but he died at the scene.
The shooting occurred near Lalor Soccer Club, where junior team matches had taken place several hours earlier. Relatives of the deceased said that he was engaged and had recently bought a house. Police urged people with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
