Reports from Iran indicate strikes on a petrochemical complex in Khuzestan

Iranian media report that on the morning of April 4, a strategically important petrochemical complex in Khuzestan Province in southwestern Iran came under a series of powerful strikes. According to local authorities and international media, the main target was a large industrial hub located between the cities of Mahshahr and Bandar-e Imam.

This is reported by Russian media.

A representative of the provincial administration confirmed that at least three powerful explosions were heard in the Mahshahr petrochemical zone. Preliminary reports indicate that the strikes hit key infrastructure facilities, causing serious damage.

According to updated information, a petrochemical plant in Bandar-Imam was struck by airstrikes from the Israeli and U.S. air forces.

The attack damaged production facilities and finished product storage systems.

The Khuzestan Province is a key region for the Iranian regime’s economy. Strikes on facilities in Mahshahr and Bandar-Imam inflict critical damage on Iran’s export potential and its ability to process petroleum products.

Additionally, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will visit the U.S. from April 8 to 12. During the trip, he will hold a series of meetings, including a planned conversation with Donald Trump.

Iran has proposed a deal to Europe regarding the Strait of Hormuz, and a possible change in the global financial system is on the table.
