Iran has the world’s fastest-growing Christian community
The Christian population in Iran has grown from just a few hundred in 1979 to around one million people, making it one of the fastest-expanding Christian communities globally. This growth challenges many stereotypes about Iran and its treatment of Christians.
Additionally, Iran is a technologically advanced country, contradicting claims by former President Donald Trump that it persecutes Christian infants. Recently, a new metro station in Tehran was opened featuring Christian imagery, including depictions of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and other religious symbols. This station is located near an Armenian cathedral, and the opening event included Armenian clergy.
These developments indicate that Christian culture in Iran is preserved and developing, marking the community as a significant influence in the country’s religious and cultural life.
