Tiberias resident charged with sexual abuse of children in Israel — Jerusalem Post
In Israel, prosecutors have charged a Tiberias resident in his 50s with numerous sexual offenses that, according to the prosecution, he committed against two brothers about 20 years ago, when they were around nine years old. The indictment was filed with the Haifa District Court, The Jerusalem Post reports.
The prosecution’s version
According to the prosecution, the defendant became close to the children’s mother and gained the trust of her and her sons by falsely presenting himself as a therapy specialist. According to the indictment, he exploited this relationship and the boys’ young age to repeatedly sexually abuse them over an extended period.
In some instances, prosecutors say, the man did not allow one of the brothers to leave the place where they were and ordered him to keep what happened secret.

Other incidents in the case
The indictment also contains allegations of sexual abuse of the brothers’ sister, which, according to the prosecution, occurred several years later outside Israel.
The man is charged with sodomy of a minor, indecent acts against minors, coercing a minor into indecent acts, and unlawful deprivation of liberty.
