Man who went missing in the West Bank found in Israel

In Israel, security forces found 53-year-old Yaniv Sardal after several hours of searching. He had voluntarily entered a Palestinian village in the West Bank. The man was found unharmed, The Jerusalem Post reports.

Man was last seen in Ariel

According to a joint initial statement by the Israeli police, the Israel Defense Forces, the Shin Bet security service and the Israel Prison Service, Sardal was last seen on Wednesday evening in the West Bank settlement of Ariel, where he lives.

A helicopter was deployed in the search

Police dispatched a search helicopter to the area. The Israel Prison Service deployed the Metsada tactical unit, which specializes, among other things, in hostage rescue operations. In a joint statement, the security agencies said that Sardal had been found safe.
