Oman postpones Iran-Gulf states talks on Strait of Hormuz
Oman has postponed a planned regional meeting involving Iran and the Persian Gulf states on the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by Al Jazeera English.
Joint decision by Tehran and Muscat
A spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that certain countries in the region had requested the meeting be postponed. According to him, Tehran and Muscat made the decision to delay the talks jointly.
The report does not specify either the countries that made such a request or the new date of the meeting.

Iranian state media reported explosions in the city of Sirik in the southern province of Hormozgan. The cause of the explosions has not yet been established.
In Yemen, according to Al Jazeera English, fighting has intensified: government forces carried out airstrikes on Houthi positions in an attempt to regain control of the port of Al Mokha. The Yemeni armed forces also said they had recaptured strategic positions in Taiz province.
