In Russia, a mother sent her 12-year-old daughter to live with her husband to continue an online romance

A shocking incident occurred in Yekaterinburg, Russia. According to civic activists, a local woman sent her 12-year-old daughter to meet with a pedophile so as not to interrupt her online communication with him.

It is reported that the woman created a social media account for her daughter in order to monitor her activity.

However, the girl eventually lost interest in the account, and her mother continued to use it on her behalf.

Soon, an adult man began messaging the account, openly proposing sexual contact. Despite this, the woman continued the conversation, posing as her daughter.

According to Hanna Levchenko, the leader of the “Report a Pedophile” movement, when the man suggested a face-to-face meeting, the mother sent her 12-year-old daughter to meet him, saying that the “uncle” would help her sign up for a good club.

According to activists, the meetings became regular after that. At first, the man pressured the child into intimate relations, and later sexually assaulted her.

The girl managed to escape only late at night. To get home, she had to walk a significant distance through the city. According to activists, when the mother saw her tearful daughter, she didn’t even ask what had happened.

It was only six years later, after she had reached the age of majority, that the victim turned to volunteers from the “Report a Pedophile” movement for help.

The activists reported that they have already filed complaints with law enforcement and are demanding that criminal cases be opened against the man suspected of sexually abusing the child, as well as against the mother, who, they say, facilitated the crime.

Earlier, in Russia’s Altai Krai, a 22-year-old man—who, according to media reports, had participated in the war against Ukraine—was detained on suspicion of the brutal murder of a 15-year-old teenager.
