A 12-year-old girl, who was brutally murdered by a supporter of the war against Ukraine, was buried in Russia
A funeral was held in the town of Kolpino, near St. Petersburg, for 12-year-old Milana, who was the victim of a brutal murder. The girl had gone into the forest to pick mushrooms but never returned home.
The next day, her body was found near a summer cottage community.
According to Russian media reports, local businessman Fyodor Mekhnin is suspected of the murder. Investigators believe that the man attacked the child, attempted to rape her, inflicted dozens of stab wounds, and, after her death, attempted to desecrate her body.
It is reported that Mekhnin lived near the crime scene and was a member of the leadership of a local gardening association.
Media outlets also report that the man had previously been convicted of robbery. In addition, he openly supported Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and was a supporter of Nikita Mikhalkov’s “Bisogon TV” program.
