In Russia, police officers have been banned from discussing their work on social media due to the risk of recruitment

Russian police officers have been banned from posting information about their work on social media and messaging apps. The ban applies to photos and videos of officers in uniform, as well as mentions of their place of work.

This was reported by sources to Russian media outlets.

According to the media outlets’ sources, the relevant order was issued by Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev. It applies to all departments of the ministry.

The reason for the ban is an increase in cases of police officers being “recruited” by foreign intelligence services. A source at Ura.ru noted that such attempts have become more frequent recently.

Every employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is now required to undergo special training on how to act when encountering recruiters.

“A police officer must engage in conversation with a representative of foreign intelligence, pretending to be interested in the conversation. Afterward, he must immediately report the conversation to the FSB,” the source explained.

As a reminder, earlier the Security Service of Ukraine exposed Russian special services that were recruiting Ukrainian teenagers to carry out anti-Semitic provocations and acts of vandalism in various regions of Ukraine. In this way, the enemy attempted to destabilize the internal situation in the country and discredit our state on the international stage.

Prosecutors from the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office have filed an indictment against a local resident on charges of treason. Specifically, he was involved in recruiting individuals willing to fight against Ukraine as part of the Wagner Group private military company.
