In the Strait of Hormuz, a projectile struck an oil tanker, resulting in minor injuries to two crew members. This was reported by the British Maritime Trade Operations Agency (UKMTO).
According to the agency, the vessel continued under its own power after being struck. The circumstances of the incident and details regarding the damage to the tanker have not yet been disclosed, and the UKMTO has urged ship captains to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.
As is customary, the UKMTO does not specify who may be behind this attack; however, it is known that Iran has announced the closure of the strait and periodically fires upon vessels there.
