Video: The IDF struck Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon
Over the past 24 hours, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have struck a number of Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, the strikes targeted weapons depots, a command post, and other infrastructure facilities belonging to the group in various areas of southern Lebanon.
The Israel Defense Forces noted that the operation was carried out in response to an incident that occurred on August 5 in the Majdal Zuna area. Two reserve soldiers—Major Arel Birenstock and Sergeant Tamir Vaknin—were killed in the explosion. Four other reservists were seriously wounded.
The IDF emphasized that Israeli forces will continue to operate in the security zone in southern Lebanon in accordance with existing agreements and will continue to eliminate threats to Israel’s military and civilian population.

As a reminder, Israel has already blocked the transfer of U.S.-made “Iron Dome” systems to Ukraine, even though the missiles for them were paid for out of the U.S. budget.
The United States and Israel are holding consultations on possibly increasing pressure on Iran, in particular by blocking its land borders. This scenario is being considered as part of broader measures to limit Tehran’s capabilities.
