Warehouses belonging to a Gazpromneft supplier caught fire in Bryansk

A fire broke out in Bryansk, Russia, on the premises of ALEO LLC, a company that distributes “Gazpromneft-SM” lubricants. Russian Telegram channels reported the fire. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and local authorities have not provided any information about the possible circumstances of the blaze.

The fire broke out on the premises of ALEO LLC in Bryansk. According to the channel, the fire involved the company’s warehouse facilities. There is currently no confirmed information regarding the extent of the fire, possible casualties, or the scale of the damage. “The fire in Bryansk, previously reported by ASTRA, broke out on the premises of ALEO LLC,” the report states.

Local authorities have not yet explained the cause of the fire. Nor have Russian official agencies reported whether the fire was caused by a technical malfunction, a short circuit, or other factors.

What the company does

ALEO LLC operates in the lubricants supply sector. The company’s website states that it is an official distributor of “Gazpromneft-SM” products. “Gazpromneft-SM” is a subsidiary of the Russian oil company “Gazprom Neft,” which specializes, in particular, in the production and sale of lubricants.

In other words, the company where the fire occurred is involved in the supply of products from a major Russian oil company. However, there is currently no information indicating that “Gazpromneft-SM” itself is directly linked to the fire.

In addition, “ALEO” describes itself as a partner to other companies in the distribution of industrial materials. Among them are CJSC “ATF” and CJSC “Permabond RUS.” The company also supplies Molykote lubricants, Dow Corning industrial sealants, and Permabond adhesives.

Company representatives did not explain the situation

ASTRA journalists attempted to contact the company to obtain information about the fire. However, they were unable to reach representatives of “ALEO” LLC. When calling, an answering machine activates with a warning that the conversation is being recorded. After that, the call is disconnected.

Therefore, there is currently no official explanation from the company itself regarding what happened on its premises. It is also unknown whether warehouse inventory or equipment was damaged in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains unknown

The cause of the fire warrants special attention. As of now, it has not been determined—or at least has not been publicly announced. Local authorities in Bryansk have not reported what exactly caused the fire. There is also no confirmation that the fire was the result of a drone attack or any other external influence.

Therefore, it is too early to draw conclusions about the causes of the fire. All that is known is that the fire broke out on the premises of a company that supplies industrial lubricants and collaborates with “Gazpromneft-SM.” Information regarding the extent of the fire, potential damage, casualties, and the definitive cause of the blaze may become available following official statements from Russian emergency services or company representatives. This was reported by the ASTRA Telegram channel, which had previously covered the fire in the Russian city.
