Video: A man went on a stabbing spree in Paris; he was arrested
In northern Paris, near the “Port de Clichy” metro station, an armed attack took place: an unidentified man armed with a knife attacked passersby. Three people were injured in the incident; two of them are in very serious condition and were rushed to the hospital.
An off-duty police officer who happened to be nearby was the first to try to stop the attacker. A patrol later arrived at the scene and apprehended the assailant. Videos have appeared on social media showing the man running down the street with a knife and, after his arrest, claiming that he was carrying out “Allah’s command.”

Despite possible Islamist motives, French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez urged people to refrain from jumping to conclusions until the investigation is complete. According to preliminary information from sources close to the investigation, the suspect is believed to be suffering from mental health issues.

At a school in eastern Slovakia, a student carried out a knife attack on people. Two people were killed as a result of the incident.
