Inflation in Germany has accelerated to 2.9% — Reuters

In April, inflation in Germany rose slightly to 2.9%. These figures were released by the Federal Statistical Office, confirming earlier estimates.

This was reported by Reuters.

It is noted that the inflation rate continued to rise moderately compared to previous months, indicating a gradual increase in price pressures in the country’s economy.

Inflation, or the growth in consumer prices harmonized for comparison with other European Union countries, stood at 2.8% year-over-year in March.

Inflationin Ukraine rose to 8.6%—the highest rate this year.

In the EU,inflation is hitting record highs due to the oil crisis and rising fuel prices, according to the WSJ.

Iran has presented the United States with a new proposal to resolve the situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz and end the war. At the same time, Tehran is proposing to postpone nuclear negotiations to a later stage.
