Zelenskyy seeks drone agreement with Japan — Anadolu Agency
Turkish news agency Anadolu Agency reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with Japanese broadcaster NHK, said that Ukraine seeks to expand military-technological cooperation with Japan, including reaching an agreement on drones.
Defense technologies
According to Zelenskyy, Japanese companies could benefit from Ukrainian experience in maritime monitoring, reconnaissance, demining, air defense and cybersecurity. He said that Ukraine is interested in partnerships both at the government level and between companies.
The president noted that more than 70% of Ukraine's defense industry consists of the private sector. In his view, closer defense ties could also contribute to the development of bilateral trade. At the same time, Japan must make decisions regarding defense equipment, he added.

Statements on North Korea and China
Zelenskyy stated that cooperation between Ukraine and Japan could contribute to security in the Asia-Pacific region. He warned that North Korea is gaining combat experience through its military involvement in Russia, the aggressor state.
According to Zelenskyy, Pyongyang sent between 30,000 and 50,000 servicemen to Russia, who gained experience in modern warfare, including operating drones. He also accused China of not using its influence on Moscow to stop the war.
Zelenskyy clarified that he had not personally seen Chinese-made missiles in Ukraine. At the same time, he stated that Chinese equipment and technologies are arriving in Russia, but he did not mean direct supplies of Chinese weapons. China says it is not a party to the conflict and calls for a political settlement.
