Zelenskyy held meetings with the leaders of Syria and Ecuador in New York

On September 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met in New York with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa. The meetings took place during the Ukrainian president’s visit to the United States.

“I met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in New York. A year ago, during the General Assembly, Ukraine and Syria restored diplomatic relations here. It is important that over the past year, political, economic, and security dynamics have already emerged, particularly our dialogue at the leadership level. Ukraine remains open to further developing this cooperation and working together to ensure greater security in all dimensions and for every region,” the president said.

Zelenskyy also met with Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa at the UN:

“I hope we can continue our bilateral dialogue in greater detail. Ukraine has much to offer the countries of Latin America that support us, in security and other areas.”
