Jenny's agency announced legal action against online defamation
OA Entertainment, the agency representing South Korean singer Jennie, has announced its intention to take decisive legal action against harmful online posts about the artist.
According to the Korea Herald, the agency stated that it has identified ongoing violations targeting Jennie in online communities and on social media. These include baseless defamatory statements, false information, doctored photos and videos, as well as content that violates the singer’s privacy and personal rights.
OA Entertainment noted that, together with its legal team, it is monitoring online posts, gathering evidence, and taking steps to file civil and criminal complaints in cases of serious violations. The agency also warned against editing or manipulating images of Jennie’s appearance, repeatedly posting or sharing individual photos and video clips, and adding offensive comments or false information to such content.

The statement came amid the rapid spread of unverified videos from Jennie’s performance at the Summer Sonic 2026 festival in Tibi, Japan. Videos circulating online allegedly show a bare part of the artist’s body.
The authenticity of these recordings has not been confirmed. Local media speculated that some of the posts may have been edited or altered, but OA Entertainment did not explicitly state that the videos were fabricated. The company emphasized that it will not enter into settlement agreements or show leniency toward violators, and asked fans to report any suspicious incidents.
