Ariana Grande ends tour in London and will take a break

Singer Ariana Grande concluded The Eternal Sunshine Tour with a concert at London’s O2 Arena on September 1. During the performance, she thanked her fans and called the tour one of the most beautiful and extraordinary experiences of her life.

Thanks to fans

The final leg of the tour consisted of 10 concerts in London. In total, Grande performed 41 concerts: in addition to the United Kingdom, shows took place in the United States and Canada. The singer said it was difficult for her to speak about the end of the tour without crying.

“I will always cherish this experience. I have the best fans in the whole world, and I always have,” Grande said from the stage. She also thanked the audience for their efforts and for continuing to make every concert special.

A break after the tour

In August, a representative for the 33-year-old artist told People magazine that after the tour ended, she would “step away from the spotlight.” According to the representative, Grande planned to finish the tour “on a high note” and take a well-deserved break from work and public appearances amid constant public attention.

Before the penultimate concert in London, Grande said on social media that she had cut her leg and, because of this, replaced her usual six-inch heeled platform boots. She assured fans that she was recovering. As Channel NewsAsia reports, the end of the show was accompanied by a scene in which the performer rose in a beam of light toward a spaceship.
